I have a first class honours degree from the University of Northampton. I have over 10 years experience working in mental health settings, starting with working in secure inpatient services, working with men and women with severe mental health disorders and forensic history.

I started working in the NHS in 2017, where I worked with people with common mental health difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, trauma, and others. It was then that I realised that becoming a clinical psychologist is the route I would like to take in order to help people understand why they are suffering, and how can this suffering be reduced.

I went onto working with women in the criminal justice system, supporting them with their mental health difficulties, which helped me understand the impact mental health has on the wider system, such as family, and vice versa - the impact the system has on the individual.

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Plymouth where I have been trained in delivering a range of therapeutic approaches, working with children and adults. I particularly focused on the intersection of physical health, mental health, and societal inequalities, working with people with chronic pain, weight related difficulties, people struggling with homelessness and addiction.
